Our mission is to bring together the brightest minds inside and outside the industry to drive innovation – how housing is produced, materials used, and business models leveraged to deliver greater value to housing providers and end consumers.
This year, we welcomed a number of new players to the table – including innovative developers and REITs, housing manufacturers, alternative framing experts, leading financial and industry analysts, business technology providers, architectural firms and more. Along the way, we saw growing interest from CEOs, Presidents and other executive leadership in a number of the topics we’ve been exploring, and discussions were richer through table-based think tanks and interactive round tables.
The people in our community and the relationships that emerge are just as important as the programming itself. Next year, we will continue to seek out key players who enhance our collective expertise and making our discussions and insights that result even more robust.
WHAT WE'LL BE TALKING ABOUT + HOW WE'LL CONNECT
In 2018, the Alliance is making a major commitment to helping the industry move to a more efficient way of building.
Last month's Offsite Construction Solutions event expanded upon our Elephant in the Room discussions from the Summit earlier this year, and was just the kickoff of a long-term collaborative effort to explore ways to move from trade-dependent stick-building to an engineering-based factory approach. Other topics we explored over the course of this year, such as smart home and data-driven business strategies, healthy homes, evolving business models (including new single family for rent), and evolving financing models will still be on our plate. However, off-site construction will take the front seat (and a little more of our effort than the other topics), because it’s the one that you’ve shown the greatest interest in and concern over.
No matter the topic area, we will be mapping innovation opportunities, challenges and impacts and seeking expert insights in three key areas: Business Models, Consumer Values, and Production + Productivity.
Download our 2018 program calendar to see how the year will play out in terms of collaboration and engagement opportunities and make note of important dates.
Members and Partners help steer the Alliance agenda, participate in exclusive events, and receive a number of benefits, including registration discounts, one-to-one connections, access to online resources, branding and website links, and more.
Feel free to reach out to Jenny Gross for more information on Alliance membership and Betsy Scott for more information regarding sponsorship opportunities. We’d be happy to schedule a GoToMeeting to share more details or to connect with you live at IBS in Orlando.
