Partner & Chief Marketing Officer
A recognized visionary in the building industry, Michael’s focus since 2011 has been on the company’s expansion into the overseas markets, particularly the Middle East.
Previously, Michael led IBACOS’ U.S. business development efforts and founded two of the company’s largest initiatives: BuildIQ, the building industry’s first online education system for production homebuilders, and the Best Practices Research Alliance, a collaborative think tank for the housing industry.
Michael is one of the core group of industry experts who played a pioneering role in the creation of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Building America program. Prior to co-founding IBACOS in 1991, he directed GE's Living Environments program, which focused on innovative approaches to building homes using new materials and technologies.
A gifted speaker, Michael appears frequently at conferences and served as the 2012 Chair of Building Systems Research for EcoHome’s Vision 2020 initiative.
