You’ll learn more about:
Three years ago, this $2.2 billion publicly-traded producer of high-performance building products invested $45 million in off-site framing manufacturer Entekra. It was a bold move in the face of supply and construction shortages that have only gotten worse in the past two years. LP is poised to tackle the talent shortage with simplified building methods and offer solutions to builders looking for faster, better and more value-added ways to build. We’ll chat with Ashwin Himat about LP’s priorities for innovation, what they’ve learned from the Entekra relationship, and where they’re headed next.
Miken Development advocates for urban neighborhoods and equitable development. Their core values lie in attainable housing, green spaces, walkability and mixed-use communities. The live-work project, 60th + Morrow, is a mixed-used townhome building that includes a retail store, an office and six residences. It backs up to Treaty Oaks (82 cottages and townhomes) and is not far from The Woods, a missing middle project of 30 for-sale homes. The development has over 100 plant species and is a certified arboretum. We’ll sit down with Michael Kenner, CEO, and the Miken team to get to know the company further before taking tours of each community. We’ll also discuss an upcoming development they have planned that will feature homes built with Module, a provider of panelized and modular construction solutions who will partner with a local off-site construction plant to deliver the project.
